Tabitha Groleau (Director and Producer): Tabitha became interested in film at the age of 12 after watching the behind the scenes of the Two Towers for weeks on end. After that, she decided that telling stories with film was something she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Since that day over seven years ago, Tabitha has written three short scripts, begun two feature scripts, and produced one short film. She also has attended the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival three years in a row and is an active member of www.christianfilmmakers.org, a online forum for filmmakers.
Joshua Moore (Director of Photography): Joshua has been studying film and video since the age of ten, and started his professional work at 16. He legally established his own production company in 2006, and has earned local and national film festival awards, as well as worked on numerous projects and films including AC on a feature film. He earned his AA in Communication and is in the final stages of his BA while continuing to hone his craft in cinematography, editing, digital intermediates, and visual effects. He plans to work in the visual realm of the emerging independent Christian film movement.
Jordan Smith (Onset Audio): Jordan got started in film at the age of 11, when he made an animated short. Since then, he has made a multitude of student and hobby projects while completing high school and beginning study for a college degree. A jack-of-all-trades type of guy, Jordan gravitates toward editing, sound, and directing. Currently, he works for Simply Charlotte Mason doing promotional videos and is also in the pre-production stages of an idea he hopes will be a feature.
Stephen Bruno (Gaffer): Ever since Stephen first wielded a crayon, he’s been driven to create art. But along with his love of aesthetics he has a burning desire to reach the culture for Christ. In 2005, his two passions melded into one when he saw Flywheel, the first movie produced by Sherwood Pictures (creators of Fireproof). The DVD included extensive special features where the producers shared their vision for reaching the world through film. Stephen knew he’d found his calling. Since then, he’s worked intensely to educate himself in the fundamentals of visual media, producing many videography projects and several short films.
Joanna Coleman (Assistant Director): Joanna Coleman is 18 years old, and the fourth child in a family of twelve. As a child, she expressed an interest in art, and now continues to develop it in all forms of fine art that she can. She has begun several books and finished two, now in the process of editing, then self-publishing one Summer 2009. She also has done several commissioned portraits, and paints often. Besides preaching Christ’s message through art and writing, she also wants to do so through films, mostly as an acting part.
Naomi Groleau (Storyboards and Makeup): Naomi Groleau has had a sketch book and pencil in hand since she was 8 years old. And at the age of 13 she was enrolled in ‘Art Instruction Schools’ corresponds course which she hopefully will be graduating from this September, Her skill level has greatly improved and she now does story boards for her sister, Tabitha, and she occasionally does some for other independent film makers, She is also assisting a friend of the family in doing the makeup for “Am I Special”. Also she is going to be keeping a video diary of the film shoot and will try to post them online, so keep a look out.
